How to Get Your Guests in the Mood to Buy Designer Purses

  Here are the best ways to break the ice and get your guests ready to buy:

1. Offer food.

Your food selection doesn't have to be fancy. It can be as simple as potato chips and a tasty dip or as elaborate as a tray of fancy desserts. Food is a way to break the ice and encourage people to mingle and get comfortable in their new setting. Of course, the classier your food presentation, the better of an impression you'll make.

For example, if you walked into a high end boutique to buy designer label clothing, they might offer you a glass of wine and some cheese if they offered food to their customers. You wouldn't expect them to offer spam on crackers. This wouldn't be consistent with their image. Keep this in mind when you make your food choices.

I would recommend offering food the first thing at your designer purse party. Have it setting out and arranged attractively on a table so everyone can help themselves and start mingling. Let them have ten minutes to enjoy the food and get to know one another before you get started.

2. Play a game.

Some people swear by this technique to get people to loosen up and get into a buying mood. In some situations I think this strategy works well, while in others I think its a waste of time. Many people don't want to waste their precious time being entertained with games. If you do initiate a quick game to break the ice, make it brief and relevant. How about a trivia game on fashion designers, particularly those that design purses? You ask the questions and your designer purse party guests get to answer. Whoever answers the most questions correctly gets a prize.

3. Have a contest.

People love contests and giveaways. at designer purse parties. Have everyone fill out a paper with their name, phone number and email address. Place the forms in a big designer purse you've specifically designated for the occasion. Close your eyes and select a paper. The person you select wins a prize which could be a designer key chain or wallet. Another obvious benefit to this is you have their email address for future marketing. You may want to ask your guest's permission before emailing them.

4. Have a fashion show.

Select a few guests from the group to model your designer purses. Take digital photos of your model purse party guests to generate excitement. You can use these photos (with your guest's permission) at your next designer purse party to demonstrate how fun a designer purse party can be.

Using these techniques, the ice should be broken and you can get on to the more serious task of selling designer purses.

How to Sell More at Your Designer Purse Party

I have to tell you about a little trick that may help you sell more purses and wallets at your designer purse party.
Remember how I suggested you carry a selection of wallets at your party? Well, here's a clever way to increase sales of the wallets. Before the show starts, fold up a prize which could be a $10.00 or a gift certificate and hide it within one of the compartments of the wallet. Make sure you fold it very small so it can't be found when people are casually looking at the wallets.

When the party starts, announce to your guests that one wallet has a $10.00 prize (or gift certificate) hidden inside. If they purchase that particular wallet, they get to keep the hidden prize. You can bet this will definitely increase the interest your guests have in purchasing a wallet. People love free prizes! You could also do a variation by hiding a gift certificate inside one of the compartments of a designer purse that's for sale.
